You can find the house standing on an ideal and peaceful location, only 5 minutes away from the Bohinj Lake. It lies in the central part of The Triglav National Park, directly by the Savica River. If you want to get there by car you have to drive past the Hotel Zlatorog and ignore a traffic sign that says 'forbidden for all vehicles (except for the owners)'. Then you cross a wooden bridge and drive straight ahead. When the asphalt road comes to its end, you turn left at the first crossroad and follow a yellow board with a 'Žito' sign. Only 100 meters more and you are by our house.
It takes you 45 minutes by foot to get to the Savica Waterfall and 15 minutes to Vogel gondola. .

The house with a big garden stands on a peaceful place and is surrounded with trees and the Savica River.
There are 6 rooms with 16 beds, 2 bathrooms with a shower and a toilet and 1 toilet with a sink on the first floor.

If the number of guests and the length of their stay changes during the stay, the total cost will be charged based on the maximum number of guests and the full period of booking.
This price includes cleaning upon departure, bed clothes and towels.

Final cleaning is included in the price, but the kitchen should be clean before the departure or we will have to charge 60 € for the cleaning.

LAKE BOHINJ TOURIST DESTINATION

Bohinj lies at the heart of the Triglav National Park. Every season is a unique experience in Bohinj. The rushing of the waters in spring, the uneasy calm of nature and people in summer, the magic play of sunlight and colours in autumn, the snow-white peace of winter. This is a place of myths and legends (for example the legend of Zlatorog).
From the mountains, whose mighty bulk surrounds and protects the lake, Lake Bohinj is like a mirror reflecting eternity and strength. The origins of ironworking in Slovenia are to be found in Bohinj. The tradition survives to the present day, especially in the area around Prešeren's manor Ajdovski Gradec.
The first world war linked the Bohinj basin to the events on the Soča (Isonzo) Front in the Soča valley. Another important sight is the railway tunnel built in 1906 which still connects the Gorenjska and Primorska regions and enables access to the Julian Alps from the sea.
You have to get up early and set off from Bohinj when it is still dark in order to conquer the mountain peaks and dispel fatigue with the wonderful views they afford. Vogel, the Savica waterfall, the museum of Alpine dairy farming, the Devil's Bridge, Studor, the Triglav lakes and the Sava river: plenty to fill your days until the silence wishes you goodnight.

BOHINJ LAKE

This is the largest natural permanent lake in Slovenia, measuring 318 ha. It is 4100 m long, 1200 m wide and 45 m deep. Located in a glacial hollow, the lake comprises over 100 million cubic metres of water and according to a traditional jest - no more than a bucket if it is large enough. 65 algae species, 8 mollusc species and 5 fish species live in the lake. The main tributary is the Savica that springs at the waterfall under the rock wall of Komarča. Lake water that flows in from numerous other sources is restored three times per year. Water level rises 2 - 3 m at heavy rainfall. In summer, the temperature of the water rises to 22 oC; in winter, Bohinj Lake often freezes.
